Closing on the house!

It seems as though the incentive to put up fun pictures has lasted at least one week. We had a great weekend and hiked up Table Rock just on the East side of town, and then even squeezed in a round of golf. If you look carefully at my pictures, you'll see that the wind was up...we had all ND natives in our golf group, so we took some comfort in being able to blame our golf game on the wind. Just like home.:) ** I promised I'd mention that Kevin eagled the 8th hole - with his second stroke taking a bit of a scenic route on its way to the cup.

We FINALLY closed on the house yesterday, as well! I felt the difference coming home to our OWN home...and knowing that all the spiders, peeling paint, and falling tree limbs belonged solely to us. Ha! Workers are currently tearing up the sewer in the street outside our house, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for no sewer mishaps.

This summer marks the first time that we aren't students returning to classes in the fall. I'm seeing lots of ads for back-to-school sales already, and its strange to think that we dont have to go back to anything! Hopefully, that will extend the summer for us, and we will continue to appreciate each weekend and beautiful day we have - instead of just the ones that fall in three consecutive summer months. This thought, however, does not override the my jealous streak for those that teach a mere nine months out of the year. You know who you are. ;)

Otherwise, just taking it one day at a time...
